St. Regis athletes Hill and Cantrell-Field win big in track

Two St. Regis athletes made it into the top six slot at the 19th Annual Russ Pilcher Western Montana Top 10 track and field meet in Missoula. Top athletes from all over Montana met at the Dornblaser track on April 25 to compete. Brock Cantrell-Field broke St. Regis School’s old discus record of 142 feet, 2 inches. Cantrell-Field threw 148 feet, 4 inches and took sixth place on Tuesday.

St. Regis , Superior show promise at Jim Johnson meet

The Jim Johnson Invitational Track and Field tournament was held at the Frenchtown High School on Thursday, March 31. The tournament, named in honor of long-time Alberton teacher and coach, Jim Johnson, hosted 27 schools. Johnson, who is now retired, was still on-hand to record times and help organize the event where students spent the day running, jumping, and throwing in their respective sports under mostly sunny skies.

St. Regis BPA wins big at national conference

It was an event of firsts for Montana at the 2018 National Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference in Dallas Texas. Over 5,600 individuals from 23 state association attended. The Montana’s delegation represented 54 secondary chapters and 3 post-secondary chapters with a total Montana Association representation of 344 members, advisors, and guests. Business Professionals of America is the leading Career and Technical Student Organization for student pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.

With an opponent found for a cancelled non-conference game, the big question for the St. Regis/Mullan, Idaho football team was what will the running game look like this year? Gone from the backfield was all-stater Ian Farris, a speed merchant with a nose for the end zone.
