MV Mariners end run at state
LEWISTOWN — The Glacier Twins and Mission Valley Mariners combined for 27 hits and 11 errors in a thrilling nine-inning loser-out baseball game at the Montana/Alberta American Legion State A Tournament on Friday afternoon with Glacier claiming an 11-9 victory to stay in the hunt for a state championship.
Lady Bobcats lose two close games
The Superior girls’ basketball team had two close games last week as they went up against Valley Christian and Deer Lodge. The girls lost to Valley by two, 44-46, and lost to Deer Lodge by three, 36-39.

William Wray Plumlee was born at 12:56 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at Clark Fork Valley Hospital. He weighed six pounds, 2.8 ounces and measured 20 inches. His parents are Tiffany Hansen and Ben Plumlee, of Trout Creek. William joins siblings Charlie and Alevid. Maternal grandparents are Patti and Gary Vinson of Springtown, Texas. Maternal great-grandparent is Patsy Johnson of Graham, Texas. Paternal grandparents are Charles and Wanda Plumlee of Keller, Texas. He was delivered by Dr. Ron Black. Valley Press to hold a garage sale to benefit ids and their education
PLAINS – The Valley Press will be holding a garage sale on June 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the office at 105 W. Lynch Street. We are accepting donations and all proceeds will benefit Newspapers in Education.

The Clark Fork Valley Little League All Star team, will be lead by Logan Wood and Rilan Weltz of Noxon and Nate Zigler, Derek Curry and Dane Martin of the Plains White Sox who were all unanimous selections. Joining them are Trevor Harris and Trey Fisher of Thompson Falls, Nathan Feliskam Treydon Brouelette, and Esvin Reyes of the Plains Tigers.

When I heard that we would have a new editor at the Valley Press, I was so interested that I made a point of reading the articles she wrote. When I went into the Valley Press to talk with Ms. McBride about an article that she wrote, she said, “She had the right to her opinion,” and if I would like to comment about the article that I could write a letter to the editor. Nolan joins Josie Frankhauser. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 20 inches. Nolan’s maternal grandparents are Thomas Ruzicka, of Sacramento, Tracy Ruzicka, of Big Spring, Texas. His maternal great-grandparent is Dewey Sigmon, of Lockhart, South Carolina. Nolan’s paternal grandparents are Tom Price, of Seattle, Diane Price, of Tacoma, Washington, and great-grandparent Lillian Gravseth, of Tacoma, Washington.
