Phone line snaps, causing multiple incidents on I-90
Power poles snapped and cables as thick as a softball gnarled Interstate 90 on Tuesday, July 24. Vehicles just west of Superior swerved to dodge the debris littering both east and westbound lanes. Phone lines at the Superior Fire Department lit up with calls, and several members responded to the incident.
Garbage truck carries smoldering load
Wednesday, Aug. 8 saw a garbage truck on River Road West smolder its way to the Plains town dump, before the load engulfed itself in flames.

Little Guy Wrestling mixer held in Plains
On Thursday, March 9, the Little Guy Wrestling mixer was held in the Plains High School gym. Junior high students from several western Montana schools (Plains, Hot Springs, Ronan, Libby, and Superior) were involved in wrestling matches on two mats. Each individual round of the match lasted one minute, 30 seconds with an “unofficial” score being kept on the time clocks at the opposite ends of the gym. Parents, coaches, friends, and other wrestlers were on hand to cheer, give support, and provide helpful suggestions to the wrestlers before, during, and after they had wrestled.

We are getting towards the last days of the session, four weeks left until we conclude the people’s business and do not convene again until 2015 unless a special session is called.
