Lozeau Bridge Fire required devoted resources
UPDATE: Woodland said the fire was started by a welding operation on the Lozeau Bridge. Earlier reports stated a firefighter was possibly injured. It was later determined one of the firefighters from SVFD was suffering from heat exhaustion and was treated and released.

A new author holds a special book signing
PLAINS - Tuesday night a very special guest returned home to the Plains Public Library. From 5:30pm to 6:30pm, Carol Morden, a new writer on the scene, held a book signing in the seating area of the library. Her book is titled, Dry Bones. Morden, who once lived in Plains and has since left to greener pastures, returned to Plains for a son’s high school reunion and a family reunion. Along the way through Plains to her reunions, the library asked her to have a book signing in what she refers to as her first and most important library.

Hot Springs Savage Heat remain undefeated
The Hot Springs football team kept their perfect record intact after defeating Burlington, Wyoming. The Savage Heat are now 7-0 following this non-conference game that took place on a neutral field at Ennis on Friday, October 9, at 1:00 pm. With a final score of 68-8, the Savage Heat again took an early lead with the now expected kick-off return and touchdown by Trevor Paro. Paro, who received the most votes to be the Missoulian Prep Athlete of the Week following his stellar performance against Valley Christian, then added 3 more touchdowns and a safety. Kicker and receiver Jack Dolson caught a 36 yard pass from quarterback Sam Hoff for a touchdown. Kane Lawson then scored on a 12 yard run. Zach Osbourne followed this with a 1 yard touchdown. Tyler Carr scored two touchdowns and two extra points. One touchdown was an 11 yard run and another was a 19 yard pass from Justin Salmi. Tyler Neal scored on a 41 yard run and Tyler Carr scored the extra points.

She ran against Republican Ryan Zinke for the US House of Representatives in the 2016 elections and is currently taking a look at the job description as President for the University of Montana. Lookout Pass Ski Area, I-90 Exit -0-, Mullan, Idaho, January 2, 2011 - On Saturday, January 8, 2011 the Lookout Pass Free Ski School will begin its 71st year of offering free ski and snowboard lessons to children ages 6 to 17. Throughout the years, this nationally recognized school has taught over 40,000 students both the skills and etiquette for a successful and lifelong skiing experience. The Free Ski School is a non-profit organization run by a group of dedicated, volunteer instructors who operate the program with donations received from businesses and individuals throughout the area.
