Two Mineral County wrestlers to state
MINERAL COUNTY – There will be two wrestlers from Mineral County representing the area on the mats at the state competition this year, one from Alberton and one from Superior.

SUPERIOR – The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of James Myers, a Superior resident involved in a child sex abuse sting in Missoula.
Hunters Education course to take place this month in Superior
A Montana Fish, Wildlife and, Parks Hunter Education course will be offered this month in Superior at the junior high school and fairgrounds. The five nightly classes take place from 6 to 9 p.m., July 22 through July 26 at the junior high. Saturday’s session (July 27), is from 9 am to 4 pm during which a field course, live firing, and the final test are administered. Lunches are advised for Saturday. Class requirements, rules, and registration are finalized at the mandatory orientation on Monday, July 15 at 7 pm at the 4-H building (Mineral County fairgrounds).

Superior resident safe in wake of marathon explosions

Committee accepting proposals
The Mineral County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will begin accepting project proposals this month for implementation in 2011 or 2012. Projects must provide benefit to National Forest System lands and ecosystems within Mineral County. The RAC will allocate approximately $110,000 in project funding during this process.
Superior to regonize national service
[Mineral County, MT]– On April 9, Mayor Mike Wood of Superior will join more than 600 mayors across the country for the first-ever Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service, a nationwide bipartisan effort to highlight the impact of national service in tackling city problems.

Angie Hopwood, was the caller for Bingo during last Monday's Pool in the Park Fundraiser at the St. Regis Community Center. Around 30 players gathered to dot bingo their cards and generate funds for a new pool in Superior. Church youth enjoy day of activities
Members from the Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Superior offered local children a day of fun activities last Friday, June 22. Kids turned out during a four-hour period and did some face painting and beading, and made slime and other crafts and activities. They also took a break for lunch and played some outdoor games.
