Fourth of July celebrations will take place in Alberton, and St. Regis. In St. Regis there will be breakfast at the school from 8 to 11 a.m. and a parade at 11 a.m. Food and games at the park from noon to 4 pm, and fireworks at dusk.

DNRC training for fire season
Thanks to spring rain and cool days, it's been about one and a half months since the Department of Natural Resources (DNRC) in Plains has had to respond to a wildland fire.

Savage Heat, Red Devils 'road warriors' Hot Springs plays at Gardiner; Noxon travels to Sheridan
Hot Springs scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter to open up a tight game last Friday night in Noxon, and the Savage Heat went on to earn a 64-36 victory over the Red Devils.

Monthly community hearing services will be provided by the Hearing Aid institute at the Alberton Senior Center on June 14 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. which includes free clean and checks on all hearing instruments (Walk-in) and free check on ears for wax build up (Walk-in).

Superior Town Council determines no primaries are needed
SUPERIOR - At the July meeting of the Superior Town Council, it was determined that no primary ballots will be necessary for upcoming elections.

RONAN - Both Plains High School and Thompson Falls Cross Country teams participated at the Ronan Invitational this past Friday, September 13. Two runners from Hot Springs also competed in the tournament that was held at the Mission Mountain Country Club golf course.

Bluehawks soar past Seeley-Swan
The Bluehawks won their first game since sweeping the Sanders County Tip-off Tournament in early December by crushing Seeley-Swan 90-58 on Friday at home. The win was sandwiched between losses to Charlo, 54-58, on Thursday and Loyola Sacred Heart, 62-76 on Saturday.
