Obituaries for William Evans

William (Bill) Evans passed away September 21, 2009. He was born in Rocky Comfort, MO in 1926. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a disabled veteran. He moved to California after being honorably discharged from the service, and lived in various towns in the San Joaquin Valley. He worked in the orange groves, packing sheds, and on milk farms. In the 1950’s he moved to McKinleyville in Humboldt County, and worked in the lumber industry, and owned his own garage with his brothers. He moved to Saltese, Montana in 1970, and worked for the State of Montana, building the new freeway on Lookout Pass. He owned his own gas station and garage for several years before retiring.
