Last weekend high school band students from all over the state gathered to experience the thrill of playing before a stadium full of football fans. They joined up with the Montana State University marching band and played with them during the Bobcat versus Idaho State game on October 28.

The Superior wrestlers had a packed schedule last week. They wrestled at Noxon on Tuesday against Noxon, Thompson Falls and Eureka. Then, on Thursday, they wrestled against Darby and Thompson Falls. Finally, on Saturday, they were up in Deer Lodge to wrestle at the Ron Fuhrman Memorial meet.

Sunrise Fire close to homes, residents prepare for evacuations
A report released by the Ninemiles Ranger District at 11 a.m. today states that the Sunrise Fire burning 11 miles southeast of Superior has grown to 2,730 acres. Some 60 homes are threatened with the fire within a mile of some structures. Residents in the Sunrise and Quartz Flats areas have been on Stage 2 Evacuation orders since Monday and are prepared for Stage 3 Evacuation which is to leave the area immediately.

ST. REGIS – The Family of Banks would like to formally announce an important change which will affect Mullan Trail Bank in St. Regis and Superior. As of February 1, 2014, Mullan Trail Banks in St. Regis will close its lobby and begin operating through the drive- up window, accepting deposits and cashing checks.
