Superior wrestlers continue to shine on the mat
SUPERIOR – The Superior Bobcat wrestlers all performed well in the round robin matches at the Deer Lodge tournament Saturday, December 21.
Superior girls take district title
The Superior girls won their first district title this last weekend at district competition in class 6-B at the Missoula County Stadium. Deer Lodge came in second with 100 points even, but the Superior girls were several strides ahead with 131 points to sweep the competition on Friday and Saturday. After seven events on Friday, the Superior girls led with 56 points to Deer Lodge's second place total of 49.

His great, great grandfather was Adolph Lozeau, originally pronounced Adolphe L’Oiseau. He was of Canadian descent and homesteaded what is now called the Lozeau exit, located between Superior and Alberton.

The Montana Office of Public Instruction has notified Superior School District that it has been recognized as a Tobacco Free School of Excellence. This initiative was established to help school districts and communities prevent and reduce tobacco use by promoting a comprehensive tobacco free policy in schools.

Over $3 million in Bonds were issued on January 10, 2018 for a Superior K-12 School improvement project and were scooped up almost immediately by investors reported D.A. Davidson Senior Vice President, Public Finance Baker, Bridget Ekstrom, who handled the sale. The estimates on the interest costs also came in lower than expected which will be a savings to taxpayers.

EPA completes cleanup of mine waste in Superior
MINERAL COUNTY - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today announced the completed cleanup of contaminated mining waste within the town of Superior that began on September 8, 2013. As part of this project, mining waste containing heavy metals including antimony, lead and arsenic that exceeded human health thresholds was removed from 38 residential properties and the Mineral County Airport and placed at a repository in Wood Gulch.
