A suspect in an Idaho armed robbery was killed by law enforcement after shooting a hostage near a travel center in western Montana, authorities said.

Hot Springs girls get win
The Savage Heat halted their season long, six game losing streak by defeating St. Regis, 50-32 on Saturday. The long awaited victory came after a loss the previous day to Charlo, 20-40. Hot Springs is now 2-4 conf., 2-11 ovr.
St. Regis man to pay drug fine
Forty-nine year-old Donald Dean Glade, of St. Regis, was sentenced for two charges in district court on Monday, Nov. 8. Glade faced charges of resisting arrest and criminal production of dangerous drugs. In a plea agreement, Glade pled guilty to both counts back on Aug. 25. Glade initially pled not guilty at his initial appearance on Aug. 11 to both counts.
Local schools' band members join Band Festival in Ronan
Mineral County students had the opportunity to play in a special performance last week as part of the Mission Valley Band Festival. On Tuesday, Nov. 13, St. Regis and Superior band members traveled to Ronan to play at the Performing Arts Center.
