The Mineral County Mud and Country Music Festival at the Tin Can Alley Amphitheater in St. Regis, Montana has officially come and gone, leaving patrons looking forward to the next event which will be an AMA-sanctioned Montana XC dirt bike race in late August.

Members head to State FFA Convention
St. Regis students competed at the Montana State FFA Convention in Bozeman on April 3 through April 6. Member Emma Hill was a finalist in the FFA’s Most Inspirational Contest, where she wrote an essay about inspiring others to become members. Although no students placed in the top ten, they improved their scores from previous FFA attempts. Students competed in Livestock Evaluation and Farm Agribusiness Management at the convention. Chapter members also acted as a voting delegate for changes to the State FFA Constitution, volunteered at the Salvation Army, student success workshops and nightly open sessions. Another FFA Convention will be held on May 6-7 in Great Falls where members will compete in Agriculture Communications, Vet Science, Food Science, Horse Evaluation and Employment Skills.

Regardless of what the score is, our kids are winners all the way! I would like to thank our Teams for the way they represent our school. I have been so proud of our kids: Their heart, courage, determination, and attitude as they present the very best of their ability in each game.

Noxon prepares to take on Superior
NOXON – The Lady Red Devils competed against St. Regis on both Thursday and Friday nights in two District 10-C matches, gaining experience and valuable lessons on the court.
Connolly, McLees headed to state golf tourney
Neither of the two golf playing high schools in Mineral County (the only two in the area), St. Regis and Superior were able to advance a team to the upcoming State championships this week in far off Sidney.
Local schools voted "best of 2009"

Alberton Panthers
In a photo dated 2012, the last season Alberton had their own team, the Panthers line up before a game. For the 2013-2014 season, the players from Alberton were part of a cooperative with players from St. Regis. Several seniors will be returning this year to help the young team learn the ropes of high school football.

June Antos, 80, of Missoula passed away December 5, 2013. A full obituary will follow. A viewing will be held at Livingston Malletta and Geraghty Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at the St. Regis Community Center Friday, December 13th at 4p.m.
Superior spelling bee winners
The Superior school spelling bee was held last week, with seventh-grader Liam Wheeler winning with the word "weird." Sixth-grader Ava White took second place.

The cross-county boys basketball matchup between the St. Regis Tigers and the Clark Fork Mountain Cats proved to be an even match during the first half of the game, but by the end of the game, it was a Cats win.
