Students learn about health and nutrition during annual Fun Run

Hundreds of grade school students strapped on their tennis shoes and geared up to participate in the Annual Mineral County Fun Run. It was held in Superior on May 9 and kindergarten through sixth-graders looped their way around Clark Fork and Osprey Drive near the Mineral Community Hospital. Kindergarten through fourth-graders ran the one mile course, while fifth- and sixth-graders did the 5K. Teachers, parents and community members were also welcome to participate in the event. Lower grades students were also allowed to participate in the 5K.

St. Regis students honored at business conference

It was an event of firsts for Montana at the 2016 National Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Over 5,500 students from 23 state association attended. The Montana’s delegation represented 58 secondary chapters and two post-secondary chapters with a total Montana Association representation of 369 registered members, advisors, and guests.

On Friday, Sept. 22 Noxon took home the honors with a win over St. Regis Lady Tigers 25-16, 28-26, 26-24. The games were close with a nail-biter in the second match where Noxon finally won out in overtime. During the evening Anna Sanford led in assists with 11 out of 21 and with three of 10 aces. Justice Tate and Emma Hill both has 7 kills out of a team 28 and both had 2 each out of 4 blocks. Baylee Pruitt had 12 of 27 digs.

Cats, Tigers take fourth at Drummond Invitational

The varsity volleyball teams headed to Drummond last Saturday to participate in the Class C Drummond Invitational. Both the Clark Fork Mountain Cats and the St. Regis Tigers came in fourth place in their respective pools. There were two pools of eight teams for a total of 16 teams competing.
