TFalls boys take second at Seeley Invite
It was a big weekend for the Thompson Falls boys as they traveled down to Big Sky High School on Saturday to meet up with a highly competitive field and came away with a second place trophy.

Car enthusiasts wait every year for the end of summer to crash their cars at the Sanders County Fair, but one Thompson Falls resident feels a second demolition derby might just be what the mechanic ordered.
Tennis girls defeat Darby, 6-1
The powerhouse tennis girls in Superior were supposed to have a home meet on Saturday, but ended up driving up to play Darby at Darby. After having a huge opening weekend April 9 and 10, the girls were looking to once again prove dominant on the court and they did.
Panthers lose another meet to weather
The Alberton track team once again found themselves out of a meet on Tuesday. The Panthers were supposed to be back at the Dornblazer track in Missoula for the Loyola Relays, but weather complicated matters and the meet ended up being called off. This was the second meet to be cancelled that was on the Panther's schedule.
Knapp shines for Thompson Falls
In a weekend meet where team points were in short supply for the Thompson Falls boys' and girls' team, Senior Charlie Knapp swept all three jumping events for the Bluehawks paving the way to a fourth place finish.

Superior girls tie for third place at first track meet
The Superior boys and girls track team had a good showing at their first season meet. The meet took place on Wednesday, March 31 at the Dornblaser Field in Missoula. The girls had a huge showing tying third with Darby overall in the team ranking with 64 points, while the boys didn't fair so badly, winding up ninth overall with a total of 19.5 points.
St. Regis misses first meet, will now have first go at Thompson Falls Invitational
With too many kids away for spring break, St. Regis ended up not attending the Jim Johnson Invitational last Wednesday in Missoula as was originally planned. Coach Maury Johnston said that rather they have added the Thompson Falls Invitational to their schedule for April 15 and that will be their first track meet of the season. The team has a small number of only five individuals. Johnston said that the challenges for the team remain the same.
Alberton used first meet to find starting point for rest of season
With only having close to four days outside in the past two weeks, the Alberton track team headed to Missoula on March 31st for the Jim Johnson Invitational at the Dornblaser Field.

Fireman's Ball draws a large crowd
The second annual Fireman’s Ball held Saturday night at the VFW in Plains was another huge success for the local fire department with large crowds filling every seat in the VFW hall awaiting a served dinner and live entertainment.

Shirley Darlene Cave
Shirley Darlene Cave, 71 of Bremerton, died in Tacoma on March 13, 2010. She was born December 13, 1938 in Brainerd, MN to Eino & Dorothy (Steele) Kangas. She married John Ira Cave on November 27, 1954 in Plains, Montana. Shirley graduated from Plain HS in 1955 and attended Olympic College in Bremerton.
Everetta Ellen Proctor
Everetta Ellen Walls was born in Missoula on September 22, 1910. She passed away March 15, 2010, in Plains. She was the oldest child of Everett Walls and Clara Price Walls. The family lived for several years in a cabin in the Trout Creek area near Superior.
