Martha Eileen Schoening passed away at her home in Deer Park, WA on Oct. 6, 2010. She was 61 years old and had been fighting a battle with leukemia since being diagnosed in August. Her son, Ed, sisters Georgia and Frankie, and her very special dog, Bear, were with her.

People from all over convened at the school to participate in the annual event to help raise funds, which would directly go to the American Cancer Society (ACS), which supports cancer research and the support of individuals fighting cancer.

Trotters struggle early but pull out a win

The Trotters had a tough few games against the team from Florence on Tuesday dropping both ends of a double-header at home. Plains lost the first game 21 to 13 and the second by a score of eight to three.

Trotters hit the field and come up with a win

The Trotters softball team came away with mixed results from their last few games versus Ronan and Deer Lodge. The ladies played a double-header against both teams coming away with one win and three losses. The solid offense generated by the team kept them in the games but was not enough to come away with more wins.
