Sunday Father-daughter dance a hit in Superior
Girl Scout troop leaders Stephanie Quick, Kate Digiando, Claira Wheeler and Whitney Nue took advantage of prom and held their own dance on Sunday, March 19. It was the first father-daughter dance they had ever held and were thrilled with the turnout of nearly 100.

Four decades of teaching outdoor skills
For over four decades, sixth graders from area schools head to Savenac for Outdoor Education, and this year was no exception for students from Superior. They arrived at camp last Monday, for a week of fun and educational outdoor activities.

Obituary; Ellen Haskins Trujillo
Ellen Haskins Trujillo, 68, peacefully ascended into heaven on May 11, 2015. She was born Ellen Carol Hankinson on June 23, 1946 in Missoula, Montana. She attended and graduated high school in Superior, Montana. She later went on to obtain her Law Degree from the School of Law at the University of Montana. After graduating from college in Missoula, Ellen moved to Walsenburg, Colorado where she established her law practice. Though Ellen had no biological children of her own, she dedicated part of her career to helping many children as a Guardian Ad Litem.

Martha Eileen Schoening
Martha Eileen Schoening passed away at her home in Deer Park, WA on Oct. 6, 2010. She was 61 years old and had been fighting a battle with leukemia since being diagnosed in August. Her son, Ed, sisters Georgia and Frankie, and her very special dog, Bear, were with her.

Ryne G. Stehr, 82, of Superior died Sunday March 22 at the Mineral Community Hospital.

Lady Savage Heat cruise to victory in season opener
HOT SPRINGS – The Lady Savage Heat volleyball team dominated opponents Two Eagle River School from Pablo and the team from Superior last week winning both contests. The girls used size and strength to their advantage over teams that struggled against the offensive power and defense of the team from Hot Springs at the net.
