A new, yet old face has been selected to fill the role of St. Regis principal. Tammy Demien officially began her role as principal of the St. Regis School District this week, replacing Ed Huenemann, and while her face may be new to some, she is certainly not a stranger to the school district.

For those planning the St. Regis centennial celebration, the long months of putting together all the addresses of former classmates and teachers, as well as organizing activities for them to enjoy, is over. This weekend, St. Regis schools will celebrate 100 years. And while the district is actually 110 years old as it was chartered in 1900, the board is hoping for a great turnout, as this may be a long time before another event similar to this one is planned.

With more years than they can remember, Ilene Wolff and Kathy Koepke said the St. Regis Community Council has been putting on the Annual Holiday Bazaar. This year they had more tables than in the past with 38 which is 10 more than last year said Wolff.
St. Regis girls, boys take on Charlo, Lincoln
The St. Regis basketball teams challenged the Charlo Vikings in St. Regis on Friday night. The boys managed to hold a close score in the first half of the game, with Charlo leading by one point. But the second half of the game was a different story, as the Vikings charged ahead in the third quarter putting 30 points on the board compared to the Tiger’s 12. The same story held true in the fourth quarter, as the Vikings put up another 17 points to the Tiger’s 7, leading the team to a win with 71-42. Trevor Lowry lead the Tigers in points with 18.
