Eva Horning Park to receive equipment upgrade
Long-time Superior resident and park namesake, Eva Horning, would be proud of what the Mineral County Community Foundation (MCCF) is planning to do with the Eva Horning Park. For the first time, the MCCF approved to earmark $5,000 of its annual distribution of funds as seed money to fund a community project to upgrade and expand the playground at the park.

Superior Woman Missing
Kelly Jo Merseal Dube-Woodard, 47, of Superior has been missing since Tuesday. Her vehicle was found by Trout Creek. A 14-mile search was conducted until the bridge on highway 135 yesterday by local Search and Rescue. Anyone who has more information regarding Dube-Woodard is encouraged to contact the Mineral County Sheriff's Office. Althoff's historical statue well on its way to reality
Ore to Oar is a Mineral County Historical Art project spearheaded by Emily Ornelas, which will result in a statue gracing the front lawn of the courthouse in Superior. The artist, Dennis Althoff, along with Ornelas had a booth at the Mineral County Fair in early August to show the work that has been done so far, as well as to help collect donations for the project.
