Nancy Christensen, 83, of Plains, MT entered eternal life on August 6th, 2014. Nancy, daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Downey) Trudgen and wife of Alvah (Bud) Christensen passed away on 8/6/14 after battling liver cancer.

Hiawatha Trail is open for business
This “Hall of Fame” 15 mile “rail-to-trail” mountain bike or hike trail utilizes the abandoned Milwaukee Railroad grade between the old town site of Taft (MT) and the North Fork of the St. Joe River near Avery (ID). The St. Paul Pass Tunnel is 1.7 miles in length and is one of the highlights of a trail that has been described as “one of the most scenic stretches of railroad in the country.”

Alberton Lady Panthers finish season fighting hard
The Alberton Lady Panthers entered the District 13-C Tournament in Frenchtown this weekend with what Head Coach Jim Baldwin called “hopes high and a great attitude.”

The Thompson Falls girls basketball team was 3-1 and placed third at the Western B Divisional tournament in Hamilton last weekend.

Ms. Vicki ‘Higgs’ Foster passed away on Friday, February 11, at 9:07 a.m. at the Mineral Community Nursing Home in Superior. Vicki was born March 16, 1965 in Paonia, Colorado.

Golfers tackle the green despire bad weather
The Superior golfers have been playing in rain, snow or sunshine this season. Last weekend in Plains, Coach Seth Kuhl said that the weather was fairly decent though they did encounter some snow and rain while they were playing.
